Loinnir – Irish and Traditional Music Festival

Loinnir – Cape Clear’s first Irish and Traditional Music festival (11-13th September) – will feature live traditional sessions, music workshops, Irish classes and much more.

Many of the island’s local musicians will play at the weekend, while visiting musicians will also feature in island venues across the weekend. The festival will open with Eva Coyle, and the headline act, Alltacht, will perform on Saturday 12th September.

For visitors, there are many accommodation options, which you can find on the Chléire website, and there are many camping spots available at Cléire Haven at this time of year.

The weekend will also feature music workshops, as well as a talk about the history of Sliabh Lucra music by Pat and Maria Flemming.
