Join Peter Dowdall, garden expert and well-known Irish radio and television personality, for a tour of Garnish Island
Located in the sheltered harbour of Glengarriff in Bantry Bay, Garnish is world renowned for its gardens, the result of the creative partnership of Annan Bryce and Harold Peto, architect and garden designer.
This is a fantastic Italianate garden laid out in beautiful walks, and home to many rare specimens of plants not seen in Ireland. On the southern shore, the Martello tower offers breathtaking views of the bay. The very sheltered short ferry trip to the island passes Seal Island, home to a tame seal colony.
Meet at the Eccles Hotel, Glengarriff 11AM | €18 | BOOKING ESSENTIAL.
